Text Box: YAHOO RELENT AND GIVE ME MY ACCOUNT BACK.... 4/3/07

Today, 4th May 2007, I received a letter from Yahoo.  Mine is below, and further down is the exact email I received. Yahoo had suspended my Yahoo account  in January as a knee jerk response to Emma Read, who said I was publishing pornographic material.  In circumstances like this, Yahoo don't ask any questions and pull accounts straight away.

I wrote them  the letter below and posted it to them  and also  faxed them every day  automatically   from 28th April 2007, until 3 May 2007.Apologies for the  gaps, this is Microsoft Front Page  doing it yet again.  Continue down through the page. It's superb to see them ( Yahoo )   taking a reasonable view  of my very patient letter where I explained democracy and free speech  and for this, I am prepared to delete the picture of Mollie  not  wearing pants  whilst asleep on the sofa in her school clothes.  However,  all readers should  be aware that I do not consider this pornographic, as it was so far away. How else am I meant to prove Emma never did the  washing?

Dear Sirs

I write with regard to my account which I have had for many years,  edward_sc_pascoe@yahoo.co.uk

This account was recently deleted  at the request of my wife who did not like the truth about my dirty house. Under the pretext that I was showing pornographic images of my children, she managed to get you to delete it.  This is nothing short of kneejerk hysteria.

I deny that there were  pornographic images on this account. There was a picture of my daughter with no pants on, but this photo was designed to show that my wife never did the washing and that there were  no pants for her to put on.

I would like my account reinstated as there are some emails  with important Microsoft information ( I am a Microsoft Certified Professional )  and I cannot get this back.  It would have been nice for you to have contacted me  and asked for my side of the story.

The photographs were painstakingly  labelled and you have no right to  delete these. I would also like these  to be  given back to me as they are my intellectual property.

Accordingly I do not consider I have  infringed your rules and my photographs as posted were designed to show  some unsavoury truths, under freedom of speech and  democracy rules.

I know you will have kept a backup so now is the time to reinstate my account  or allow me to FTP the files from  your server.  If I do not  get my files back I will commence legal action and claim the costs from yourselves.  We put our trust in Yahoo!  and  this trust is not to be taken lightly  as you have done.

Yours sincerely,

Edward Pascoe

Dear Mr Pascoe

Further to your letter we are writing to inform you that your Yahoo! account edward_s_c<ANTISPAM>pascoe@yahoo.co.uk has now been reactivated.

However the picture of your daughter breaches our Terms of Service, therefore can we ask you to delete it within one week?

 Thank you.

Dear  Sirs,

As per your request below, I am trying with immediate effect, to delete the photo  of my daughter, which I have agreed to remove.

However, I cannot find the photo gallery  link that used to be on the  options page ( see below) – the photo link  used to be on the  right under ‘groups’

Please advise where this is  so I may go and delete this photograph.

Kind regards

Edward Pascoe

I have in the meantime set up another French Yahoo account which is currently dishing out the photos. However the English ones will be there  within the week  where they used to be.  10/10 to Yahoo!
